PARTS OF SPEECH
Words are classified according to the particular work they do in a sentence. They are:
1. Noun 2. Pronoun 3. Adjective 4. Verb

1. Noun : It is a naming word. It is the name of a person, animal, place, thing or idea.
Ex: Children, Hyderabad, Student, Jealousy.
2. Pronoun: Its a word used instead of a Noun.
Ex: He, her, itself, they, I etc.
3. Adjective: It is a word that adds to the meaning of a noun or pronoun.
Ex: good, large, few, powerful, energetic.
4. Verb: It is a word "doing" word. It expresses an action. It tells what someone or something does or is.
5. Adverb: It is a word that adds to the meaning of a verb, an adjective or another adverb.
Ex: late, soon, beautifully, bravely, certainly.
6. Preposition: It is a word placed before a noun or pronoun to show its relation to another word.
Ex: on, in, at, since, for, from
7. Conjunction: It is a "joining word" . It joins words or groups of words, phrases, clauses or sentences.
Ex: but, and, or, so.
8. Interjection: It is an exclamatory word, denoting some sudden feeling.
Ex: Wow!, hurry!, oh!, ooh!, aah!, ouch!
